Goat Fun Day 2008
The stations were educational,
the new families breakout session was very helpful,
Jen Trippany spoke on General Goat Health Care,
the Kiddie Korner was busy,
the educational stations were helpful,
the Quiz Bowl was lots of fun and
the food was great!

Goat Fun Day - update
There has been alot of eMAIL updates sent out - if you need info, please contact the secretary at lori_greenacres@yahoo.com
For a group of volunteers who are planning this event by eMAIL - you are doing a great job! I've had alot of people eMAIL that they can do a little bit here and a little bit there - and it is adding up to one very nicely planned event. Great Job Everyone!
And - if you haven't volunteered yet, but would like to help - just let us know.
Also - Please be sure to get the registration forms out to your youth - we will need an accurate count for lunch.

Planning Committee Announcement
Currently we are finishing our our planning for Goat Fun Day by eMAIL.
Timeline for progress.....
1. Feb 21st - Compile general summary of status and eMAIL report.
2. Feb 27th - Compile "EVENTS" status of confirmed items and eMAIL report.
3. March 5 - Compile Sponsorship/Donations status and eMAIL report.
4. March 12 - Complete lunch plans and eMAIL report.
5. March 19 - Compile general summary of all and eMAIL report.
6. March 29th - Goat Fun Day!
If you are not receiving the eMAILs and you would like to, please eMAIL lori_greenacres@yahoo.com and request to be added to the GDC Planning Committee eMAIL list.
If you have something specific to suggest or want to volunteer to help with, please let us know.

Goat Fun Day - update on activities
Hi all,
Just wanted to give a little informal update on what's been happening in our plans for Goat Fun Day 2008.
We were able to make the Express newsletter deadline with a "SAVE THE DATE" ad for Goat Fun Day. Since this is the March 1 newsletter - we asked for people to call the extension office to register right away.
We have had a few people on the planning committee already working on donations - thank you! We are looking for donations towards the food costs, thank you gift for the veterinarian guest speaker, awards for the quiz bowl winners and the door prize drawings that we have during the lunch break.
Maruska has prepared a thank you letter for your use on our letterhead. Please contact lori_greenacres@yahoo.com if you need it emailed to you.
Catalogs have been ordered from a few of the goat supply companies and will be available at the freebies booth.
Quiz bowl questions are posted - please encourage your youth to participate!
ON TUESDAY FEBRUARY 12th @ 7pm @ the Extension Office we have our final planning meeting for this event - please plan to attend!
